LAKE CARLOS VILLAS MEMBERSHIP

Are you interested in joining the LCV Family? We’d love to have you join us! Here’s what you need to know… Lake Carlos Villas is an 18-unit vacation cooperative established in the early 1980s. We operate under the direction of an elected Board of Directors composed of owner/ members. No developers or sales staff are involved, so ownership and management are entirely community-driven.This structure fosters a relaxed and neighborly environment, a sense of continuity and shared responsibility among members, with simple and affordable rates. Lake Carlos Villas offers four different "Seasons" and both “floating” and “fixed” weeks: Seasons Two and Three are floating weeks where the owner selects which week they stay and which villa they stay in (based on availability and villa size purchased) up to one year in advance. Floating weeks may also be split, so the owner stays 3 days one week and 4 days another week by paying for just the additional cleaning fee. Floating weeks are available for purchase through the LCV Office. Season Two: (late spring & early fall; weeks 20-23 and 36-43) The owner pays an initial membership certificate fee upon purchase, along with annual membership dues. Season Two owners can choose to participate in an annual lottery process to “win” weeks closest to the summer season. The lottery takes place one year prior to the week they wish to stay. If their desired week is not won via the lottery, the owner chooses their villa and week from the remaining weeks available in Season Two. Season Three: (early spring, late fall & winter; weeks 1-15, 18-19, and 45-50) There is no membership certificate fee for season three, just the annual membership dues. Season One (summer weeks 24-35) and Holiday Season (Christmas/New Year weeks 51-52) are fixed weeks where the owner stays in the same villa for the same week each year. Fixed weeks are only available to purchase from a current owner who has listed their week for sale on the LCV website. After purchasing, owners pay their designated annual membership dues directly to LCV. Additional perks of ownership allow you even more opportunities to stay at LCV! Once you become an owner/member, you are also eligible to purchase “extra usage weeks” or rent Unit 20 (formerly the caretaker’s apartment) based on availability. More information about becoming a member, “extra usage weeks”, and rental of Unit 20, is available on the LCV website under the “Our Co-op” and “Rentals” tabs. (Villas 17/18 and 19) Note: Villas 1, 2, 5-8, 11, and 12 have one bathroom, all other villas have two bathrooms. Restrooms are also available in the library, pool house and laundromat.
