Established in the early 1980s, the property operates under the direction of an elected Board of Directors composed of owner-members. There is no developer or sales staff involved—ownership and management are entirely community-driven. The cooperative structure fosters a relaxed and neighborly environment. Many families and guests return year after year, drawn not only by the peaceful setting but also by the sense of continuity and shared responsibility among members. Lake Carlos Villas offers access to a wide range of seasonal outdoor activities. In the summer, the lake is ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Guests can enjoy resort amenities such as the indoor pool, hot tub, and seasonal outdoor swimming pool, open from late May through early September, along with lakeshore access for swimming, fishing, and boating.

We were quite surprised and pleased with the Lake Carlos Villas. It's a compact, secluded property with a great view of the lake and good amenities. The area is beautiful and welcoming. My son and I enjoyed the area restaurants and access to the Central Lakes state bike trail.
